Swatch & Review: CrowsToes Milquetoast

Hey everyone!

Today I have a polish from 2013 CrowsToes "springTHIS" collection, called Milquetoast. Milquetoast has a looooovely white jelly base that's jam-packed with glitters. The glitters are mostly copper hexes with small holographic gold glitters thrown in. The glitter coverage is just AMAZING. No glitter placement required.

Shown is 3 coats, topped with Gelous and then Good to Go. This polish is definitely my favorite of all the recently released white-base-with-copper/gold glitter polishes; for example, Dollish Polish Penny...Penny...Penny... and Girly Bits Eggnogoholic. I really love how much glitter you get in this in one coat!

Do you like the copper glitter in a white base trend, or are you over it?

Let me know in the comments!

Swatch & Review: Pa Nail Color AA62

Hi guys!

Today I've got a polish that my lovely friend Tanya got for me from Hong Kong. It's Pa Nail Color, manufactured by a brand called Dear Laura. Dear Laura appears to be a Japanese brand, based on their website. The color she got me was AA62, a gorgeous teal full of black glitters. It appears to be part of a collection called Tsubutsubu. All of the polishes appear to be named in a similar way.

All nails have 2 coats, with the exception of my middle and ring fingers which have 3. This applied wonderfully and was opaque in 2 coats. I didn't have too much trouble with the glitter, however being the glitter maniac that I am, I always feel like I need more glitter on the nail. I absolutely ADORE this combination of colors and desperately need a back up of this. I received a similar polish in the same week as this - Smitten Polish Butter Mint, so I thought I'd do a quickie comparison. Butter Mint will get it's own post very soon ^____^

As you can see, Butter Mint is quite a bit lighter than AA62 and has larger glitter. I love them both and and happy to have them in my stash! Ring finger is 3 coats, and I *think* my index is 2.

I hope you like AA62 as much as I do <3

Pa Nail Colors do not currently ship abroad at this time; however, US online sources state they may be found in Japanese/Asian beauty shops in certain areas. This may also be true for Aus/NZ readers. All I can say is to keep an eye out!

NOTD: Inspired by another mani

Hi guys!

Today I've done a mani inspired by Selena D's uber-famous gel mani. I'm sure many of you have seen it all over the internet, especially on Instagram and Pinterest. First, here's my take on it. I intially tried to do chevrons, but I think I need more practice first... They turned out horribly! So instead I stamped using a Winstonia plate :)

The coral I used is Maybelline Coral Crush (my favorite!), Lime Crime Milky Ways stamped with Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear Black Out, and the gold is China Glaze Angel Wings.

And here's the original! Photo (c) Selena D. Clicking the image takes you back to her blog :) I've wanted to do a 'copy cat' mani of this for so long and I'm glad I finally did. Now I just need to practice my chevrons!

Swatch & Review: Smitten Polish Traveling by Bubble

Hey girls (and guys? Maybe?)!

Today I have a recent release from Smitten Polish to show you today: Traveling by Bubble. Traveling by Bubble has a really gorgeous blue base with a bunch of different size glitters. The smallest are the purple glitters, then there are larger blue glitters and the largest circular coppery-pink and blue glitters. The blue base was nice and non-streaky to apply. Shown is 3 coats.

Frankly, I was little let down. I couldn't decide whether I really liked this or not... I think I would have liked it better if I had gotten more of the circle glitters on my nails. It is pretty, but I think I would have liked it better if it was closer to teal and didn't have the tiny purple glitters - if they were copper though, that would be a different story... Anyways! Do you have this polish? Or are you just more in love with it than I am?

Let me know in the comments!

Smitten Polish is available from Llarowe and their Etsy shop

Swatch & Review: Jindie Nails Princess Bubblegum

Hi everyone!

I have been SO frustrated with my camera lately! Either my eyes need to be checked (again!) or there actually is a problem with my camera... I've just found that the photos I've taken lately have been super sub-standard. I took way more photos than normal trying to get a good shot of this polish, and the two below are the best I could get. Sigh. Anyways, here's Jindie Nails Princess Bubblegum, a gorgeous polish with a light purple base full of heaps of tiny glitter! It has pink, purple, blue and iridescent glitters in varying (but very small!) sizes.

Shown is 3 coats, with 1 coat of Gelous and 1 coat of Good to Go. I really love the look of this polish, the iridescent glitters are what really does it for me. They're mostly hidden, but in certain lights they flash super prettily. I hope you like this as much as I do :)
