Swatch & Review: Jindie Nails Candy Land Remix

Hi ladies!

I hope you all have had a good weekend :) Today I've got a swatch of a polish by Jindie Nails, Candy Land Remix. It has a white jelly base full of neon glitters, so pretty! This polish is very unique in my stash because of this.

Shown is 4 coats with 1 coat of Gelous and 1 coat of Good to Go. I found that the 4 coats was necessary for opacity AND to get enough glitter on the nail. With Gelous, the texture was smooth on all glitters except for the oncs that I ended up placing. I did find that I had to do quite a bit of glitter placing, I definitely recommend storing this upside down for a bit before using. However, I do LOVE the end result and don't mind the 4 coats + poking glitter around!

What do you think of the neon glitter trend? Yay or nay?

Swatch & Review: CrowsToes Absolum - I am your Potions Master

Hey everyone!

Today I've actually got a double review of sorts - not only am I reviewing this amazing CrowsToes polish, I'm reviewing my bottle of Gelous. Gelous is a product that smooths out glitter polishes under a regular TC. CrowsToes Absolum - I am your Potions Master is inspired by Alan Rickman and 2 characters he plays - Absolum from Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland, and Severus Snape from Harry Potter. (ps. I can't be the only person who bawled her eyes out at Snape's death, right?) Absolum is FULL of gorgeous glitters: large blue glitters, medium green, blue and silver glitters, smaller silver glitters and black bar glitters.

I used Essence Date in the Moonlight, which is a really gorgeous dusty navy blue with a lighter blue shimmer. It applied really well in 2 coats. I applied Absolum using the dabbing method, and shown is 2 coats. I did find that I had to poke around the bar glitters to make sure they weren't hanging off the edge of my nail, but other than that, application was fine. I applied 1 coat of Gelous before my regular topcoat to smooth it out. Gelous worked perfectly! My mani was smoothed out and not gritty at all. It is a little bumpier now that it has dried more, but it's still much smoother than if I had used 2 coats of my regular TC. I will definitely continue to use this to smooth my glitters!

Have you tried CrowsToes polishes? What do you use to smooth glitter? Let me know in the comments below!

Swatch & Review: Smitten Polish Glass Elevator

Hey ladies!

I was really excited today to get more mail - I received my Llarowe package, which had Glass Elevator inside. I'm head over heels for this polish! I love the blue and green glitters in this milky base. I chose to pair it with Lime Crime Once In a Blue Mousse, which is a lovely pastel blue that leans slightly green on me.

I love these two paired together! I actually did this mani because I was inspired by a mani I had seen on The Nail Network, using Cult Nails Manipulative and Smitten Polish Expecto Patronum. I used 2 coats of Blue Mousse and 3 coats of Glass Elevator. I think you could easily get away with 2, but I really like the look of 3. I looooved how easy it was to apply, and it didn't dry gritty either.

What do you think? Are you a fan of Smitten polish?
